Ole Wangkheimayum life story is one of struggle, resilience, and redemption. Once a victim of drug addiction himself, Ole ran away from rehabilitation 42 times before finally embracing recovery. Today, he is the founder of Realize Rehabilitation Centre (RRC), a facility dedicated to helping others break free from the chains of addiction.
His journey is more than just a personal triumph—it’s a testament to the power of second chances. Through his work, he has saved countless lives, proving that even the most hopeless cases can turn their lives around with the right guidance and support.
A Troubled Past – The 42 Escapes from Rehab
Growing up in Manipur, Ole was no stranger to the dark realities of drug addiction. Like many youth in the region, he fell into substance abuse, unaware of the grip it would take on his life.
His family, desperate to help him, sent him to rehabilitation centers. But each time, Ole ran away. Not once, not twice, but 42 times.
“I thought rehab was a prison,” he recalls. “Every time I was sent there, I felt like escaping was the only option. I wasn’t ready to change.”
For years, Ole remained trapped in a cycle of addiction, relapse, and escape. Each attempt at recovery ended in failure, leaving him feeling more lost and hopeless.
The Turning Point
After his 42nd escape, something shifted. He had lost everything—friends, family, and even his self-respect. For the first time, he stopped running—not just from rehab, but from himself.
It was then that he realized: he had to fight, not flee.
He committed to rehabilitation, embracing the painful but necessary process of recovery. It wasn’t easy. The withdrawal symptoms were brutal. The cravings never fully disappeared. But for the first time, he had a reason to keep going—to help others avoid the same mistakes.
Founding Realize Rehabilitation Centre (RRC)
Ole didn’t just want to recover—he wanted to create a place where others could find the help he had once resisted. In 2018, he founded Realize Rehabilitation Centre (RRC) in Imphal East District, Manipur.
RRC isn’t just a rehab facility—it’s a community. Unlike the strict, rigid centers he once ran away from, RRC offers:
✔ A safe and supportive environment for recovery
✔ Personalized detoxification and counseling programs
✔ Skill-building and reintegration opportunities
✔ Aftercare support to prevent relapse
More than just treating addiction, RRC focuses on rebuilding lives.
A Message to Those Still Struggling
Ole’s mission is clear: “No one should have to fight addiction alone. I ran 42 times before I stopped. But even if you’ve failed 100 times, you can still start over.”
Through RRC, he continues to inspire and guide those battling addiction, proving that every escape can lead to a comeback.
